Gecko Yoga Armidale is a boutique yoga space in the beautiful regional city of Armidale, NSW

A welcoming space to relax, reset & rejuvenate. We offer small group classes with attention to each individual client, in a calm & safe environment to just be, without judgement or ego. Our focus is on achieving the best outcome for our clients. So, whether you’re looking for time out to re-connect with yourself, movement, meditation or recovery from illness or injury, our space allows you the time to do just that. Our highly experienced & dedicated teacher offers a variety of yoga classes. Bliss Yoga, Restore & Relax Gentle Yoga, Stretch & Release Wall Yoga, Mind Body Soul Yoga & Prana Yin Sound Yoga sessions.
 Our Private Yoga sessions are tailored to your requirements, suitable for all clients. We provide you with an appropriate personalised yoga practice so that you can get the most from your time. Making Yoga accessible to all is our goal. Whether you’re stiff, injured, stressed or just need some time out, a Private Yoga session is a wonderful addition to anyone’s life. Leaving you calm & peaceful & ready to tackle whatever comes your way. We offer sessions for individuals, couples, families, corporate & small groups. Our beautiful space is fully equipped with everything you’ll need. All equipment is provided. With underfloor heating & ducted air conditioning, our space is always comfortable. Please feel free to bring your own towel & water, we have a water cooler for refills.

  You can book into classes anytime you want, no terms or courses. We run classes all year long.
  Each style of class is different, so you can try out different classes, without committing to a particular class.
  Going away or can’t make it to your regular class? You can manage all your bookings through our online Core Bookings app. All class passes have a long expiry time, however, if you need to extend this, you simply need to contact us prior to expiration date & we can extend them for you.
 Our small classes give us time to work with all our clients’ abilities & needs.

 Our studio is warm & friendly, with air conditioning & luxury underfloor heating, it’s always cosy. We supply everything you’ll need for your practice, so there’s no need to bring a thing. All equipment, including mats, is supplied.
 We stock yoga leggings, eye pillows, zabuton & zafu meditation cushion meditation cushion & yoga socks for purchase in studio.

Your Teacher – Carmel Stewart 

I am a Registered Level 3 Senior Yoga Teacher & Yoga Therapist & certified Sound Bowl Facilitator. I’m passionate about achieving the best outcome for my clients. My classes are challenging & uplifting, as I take students beyond the physical aspects of yoga & brings them into their own sacred space. I believe that gentle movement brings about a sense of stillness, giving us time & space to reconnect with ourselves. My beautiful, welcoming yoga, meditation & singing bowl therapy space offers my clients a place & time to reset & rejuvenate in a calm & safe environment. A place to just be, without judgement or ego. In this safe space, I invite my students to find & face their challenges on the mat, so that they may live life effortlessly & peacefully. I describe myself as an eternal student of yoga, I love to study to keep expanding my knowledge of all things yogic to share with my students. I love teaching yoga & singing bowl therapy & providing a space where people feel free to be completely themselves.

 About our logo

 You may notice the 7 Chakras through the body of our gecko, the 4 elements on the geckos tail & a little echidna (iwata) for Anaiwan country. Our beautiful Gecko represents rebirth, regeneration & renewal. The lotus (padma) & life cycle of lotus depicts the path of a yogi towards the light, bringing a cultivated awareness of ourselves & what surrounds us, balancing our body, mind & spirit. The 1000 petal lotus flower represents to the 7th Chakra, Sahasara, our spiritual connection to the divine.

We acknowledge the Anaiwan people, traditional custodians of the land on which we gather & pay respects to their Elders past & present. We extend that respect to all Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples.
